Daniel S. Sarasin, DDS
Dr. Sarasin graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1988. He was a clinical instructor and fellow in the department of Oral Diagnosis, Pathology, Radiology, and Medicine at the University of Iowa from 5/88-6/89. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1993. Dan was an assistant professor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Iowa. From 1993 to 1997 he was actively involved in teaching, research, and providing treatment for the College of Dentistry and hospital patients at UIHC and Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City. He joined Cedar Rapids Oral Surgery P.C. in 1997.
Dr. Sarasin became a fellow in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1994 and a diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1995 and recertified in 2004 and 2013. Dan has numerous oral surgical and anesthesia publications in professional journals and books. He has been an invited speaker at national and international meetings. Dan is actively involved with the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology on a regional and national level since 1996. He has been an adjunct faculty member in the department of Oral Diagnosis, Pathology, Radiology and Medicine at the University of Iowa since 1997.
He is a member of the Linn County Dental Association, American Dental Association, Iowa Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA). He is a currently is a board of director for ADSA.
